    Why women love men
    By Notin January 31, 2001, 04:44 PM

Yep. You asked for it. Why women love men.
Today my boyfriend restored my faith in males, so I think I can write this...

    1) They can make you laugh even when you don't want to, because they don't want to see you cry. [no! anything but tears!]

    2) Somehow they always seem to be able to drop what they're doing to attend to you.

    3) They can pick you up. [yes, a MANLY man!]

    4) The puppy dog expression [::melt::]

    5) They will almost always give you sexual attention when you want/need it.

    6) They're better drivers. [i'm being serious]

    7) They're afraid of insulting you.

    8) They almost always have a jacket or something to keep you warm [I think this is the real reason that women are always warm...]

    9) If you feel like wearing bummy clothes, they don't care. just so long as the clothes can come off ;p

    10) Oh, the sweet little things they can say.

Okay, that's all I can think of right now. The Star Trek music that I'm listening to is kinda getting me side-tracked.

Ask, and ye shall receive [sometimes. only if the woman says so... ;p]

edit:Oh, and in case you were wondering what inspired this, see Why men love women

    By BigKP January 31, 2001, 05:16 PM

Wow......all of a sudden I feel very happy. But I still wonder why girls don't like me...I have the majority of the qualities there, and I'm nice. But whatever...I've been over this in another post.

    Anyway...I like it, Notin.

    Good job, Notin. It's nice.

Of course, you made this one up by yourself, right? That makes it better. I got mine through an e-mail.

*Galen gives Notin a great big bear hug*

Hope the rest of your day is better than your morning (I read about it already)! Tell your boyfriend thanks for restoring your faith in men. We need all the believers that we can get!

    1) They can make you laugh even when you don't want to, because they don't want to see you cry. [no! anything but tears!][/
    b]

Yes, nothing is worse than crying. I have often claimed that it is a woman's single biggest weapon.

[b]2) Somehow they always seem to be able to drop what they're doing to attend to you.

    Well, what's more important?

    3) They can pick you up. [yes, a MANLY man!]

What good is one that can't? Though my wife hates to be picked up

    4) The puppy dog expression [::melt::]

    Our single biggest weapon muhahahaha

    5) They will almost always give you sexual attention when you want/need it.

Almost? Hehe. And most times when you don't.

    6) They're better drivers. [i'm being serious]

I keep telling my wife this, but she doesn't believe me. I am scared of her driving but not of mine. What further evidence do I need?

    7) They're afraid of insulting you.

That's because we're afraid the nooky tap will be turned off.

    8) They almost always have a jacket or something to keep you warm [I think this is the real reason that women are always warm...][

Good thing. My wife would freeze to death otherwise. Her internal thermostat is about ten degrees cooler than mine. Which means that almost all the time one of us is either hot or cold. Argh.

    9) If you feel like wearing bummy clothes, they don't care. just so long as the clothes can come off ;p

My wife, the queen of bummy clothes, and no I don;t care.

    10) Oh, the sweet little things they can say.

Blech! No guy worth his salt would be caught dead saying something sweet.

Awww. thanks for the hug galen Yes, I made mine up by myself. ::beam:: ;p Well, my boyfriend inspired me, because he's just so damn sweet. At the moment it's gonna make me cry. I don't know why.

I told him thank you. and then I wanted to cry again. I hate being female. Some days, everything makes you cry! [i'm being dead serious!]

The rest of my day was better. Mainly thanks to my boyfriend's support. I also found out how much my insurance would cover, and it's more than I thought it was.

Oh, and the reason i say almost always give sexual attention, is that I have a friend who married a guy with less sexual drive than herself. ::shrug::

Dave: d'oh! I guess I'll have to ad paychecks onto there ;p Actually, my paychecks are higher than my boyfriend's, because he doesn't have a job... well, he has clients. But he doesn't work for a particular company, as such... He calls himself a consultant... But, he is looking to get a high paying job with a company. ::nod:: And yet he still insist on paying for stuff the majority of the time. It's like I have to twist his arm to make him let me pay.

ssw: I thought computers were supposed to be more important... ;p. And I say that men are better drivers, because I bashed into 2 of them today... Besides, I do actually feel safer when a guy is driving than when I am. Well, it depends on the guy. But definately my boyfriend. hehe.

Well, there is hope for you guys yet... men in tights... ;p

    By Amish_Chief February 01, 2001, 12:27 AM

Interesting...it still means something to me even after getting dumped (suddenly) over a month ago.

Don't get me wrong though, I am having fun on campus, especially on the social side. That's something that I haven't enjoyed in school for a VERY LONG time.

Even if I am single, I always know there will be someone else, somewhere. It just depends on personal traits (and luck!) to find that person. I'm in no rush though.

I say...let the women come to me this time (LOL...wishful thinking, but when did it hurt!)

Good idea. That's what I did. I let her come to me and boy did I score (get your mind out of the gutter). My dad kept pushing me to date around, but I never really wanted to. I knew a lovely person would come to me and she did.

She just came to you? awww. My boyfriend did that too. I was actually thinking of being single for at least anohter year... it took me a week or 2 to get used to the idea of not being single before I accepted his offer....

    By Scuttle February 01, 2001, 04:17 PM

Notin, you made Reef Shark before me! How could you, i've been waiting for ages and you beat me at the end!
Anyhows, i have most of those qualities, but still no-one wants to go out with me, dammit its not fair. There is this girl i like but i'm not sure if she likes me, so i'm slightly hesitant after being rejected twice in a row now. I also feel as if my dad wonders why i don't date, but never asks.

Offer? You mean to go steady? So I am guessing you two are this cute happy couple. Awww.

    Hmmm...

My wife actually chased me down.

Then, I kinda chased after her.

So, I guess we ran after each other and just hugged when we got there in the middle.

I met her in March. Really started talking to her in April. Started offical dating in July. Engaged in August. Married in December. I guess that that could be considered fairly fast.

    By Scuttle February 01, 2001, 04:50 PM

Galen, it could be considered more rocket speed than slightly fast. But if she's the one then tehere is no reason why not.

There are a lot of guys that have those qualities, but women don't want to go out with them. In time some of them will realize all these men they're dateing just suck. Your time will come. Don't worry about. Try and not let rejection get to you. They don't know what they are missing. And it's their loss.
Try and ask her out or something. Or try and talk to her. If she rejects you, then she just lost a chance to go out with a great guy.
Maybe she does like you. I have had a couple of girls like me and I never knew it. I lost that chance because I never asked. We all get prejudged. You just need to not let it affect you. If they reject you, it's thier loss. They were stupid to assume what the real you is like and not willing to find out.

Someone will come to you. Don't worry about it.

Awww. sorry dude. Y'know, I think you're probably just looking too hard for a woman. Also, maybe they're afraid of commitment [like myself.] My boyfriend kinda snuck his way in. It just started with dating, and then after a while he asked if we were going out, and I told him no. A week or so later I told him yes. ::shrug:: [okay, you can awwwwww now...]
Fuzz, yes, I guess we are a cute happy couple.

Dude only twice, i have an Old 486 processor with my old computer parts lying around and every time I get rejected I break off one pin, every time I get accepted I start on a new old proccessor and make the used one into a keychain. So far im at my 2nd processor and more than half the pins are gone, now that's a lot more than 2 my friend!
But i'll live, and for some mentally deprived reason ive also started believe I'll find someone (or she'll find me, whattever) it's not hard to believe when you live on a policy of rejection

    By mrwhite February 01, 2001, 05:38 PM

I think it's pretty depressing and I'm married. Blech. All that time and money and effort wasted on a celebration of the death of a man that was beaten to death.

Hello, I'm a newbie, don't know much about computers and just like reading what people have to say. After reading, why men love women and why women love men, I was thinking about my BF and about why people love. <exhale> so here goes…

    1) you love it when they vent to you, knowing that they value your opinion and trust you enough to share that side of them that they can't even trust themselves with.
    2) when they praise you, because to you they are the world to you, even when it's a silent split second goofy smile when they're saying goodbye.
    3) you love the thought of them when they are away ( this came to me because my friend was asking me one time why I had a goofy smile on my face)
    4) the way they are when you: hold their hand, touch, kiss, snuggle, shiver in the freezing cold, belch after a can of root beer, walk when they need to go pee (yes, honey I'm actually referring to me), laugh, and all the little things they do when being intimate.
    5) it's the them. You love them because it is them. Isn't that right Squishy Cow?

    By Scuttle February 02, 2001, 11:27 AM

Thanks. I think i might ask her put, but the chicken way, y'know ask a friend to ask, that way i'm not there if she says no. You probably think thats the chicken wat also, i think it works for asking someone out, but not for dumping, not like my last girlfriend.
    :Her friend walks up:
    :Jess says your dumped:
    :Byee:
I'm just thinking, why? No explanation, nothing, nada. Not a word, luckily she was moving house in a month so at least i didn't have her around to remind me.

That is the worst way to dump someone. The most chicken way. Even worse than breaking up over AIM...

Ouch - That's a nasty thing to happen to you - are you alright ?

    By People's Champion February 02, 2001, 07:14 PM

Why is it that women don't ask men out more often?
Why does it seem like its a rule set in stone that a man must do the asking?
There are a few women that do the asking, but, in general it seems like its the man's job.

    By People's Champion February 02, 2001, 07:45 PM

you shouldn't be thinking about that. If she really liked you. she'd go out with you if you had the lousiest shheittbox excuse for a car. I hate it when girls like the guy more when he has some kickass expensive or supped up car. That's just too shallow for my liking! And relationships with those kind of girls are pretty fragile!
