Which is the best freeware FTP program in terms of ease of use?

    By kid A May 10, 2001, 05:58 AM

I like Smart FTP and WSFTP, but I think SmartFTP expires after a while.

I second WS_FTP, I've used a lot of FTP programs, and found this one to be one of my favorites...it's free, doesn't expire and very functional.

    gFTP (http://gftp.seul.org)

bitbeamer should look good, but I have no clue if it is out yet.

SmartFTP is probably the best freeware ftp client out there. Its very intuitive and its also very powerful. I mean I've seen a lot of crappier retail progs.

Its a really a wonder why the programmers don't charge for SmartFTP. But hey as long as they don't I'll keep using it.

WS_FTP is my program of choice. Technically it's not freeware, but free for personal/academic use.
