Which 19" monitor to get that's less than $325
    By Schmitty May 21, 2001, 01:12 AM

Right now I have a 17" flat monitor, its not a perfect flat and it doesn't bother me, so I don't want to pay more just for a perfect flat.

I need it $325 on my doorstep, not plus shipping. One thing that would be nice is a space saving model, but not necessary.

The main thing I want is quality picture. Sony is too expensive. I was looking at the Viewsonic Optiquest and am leaning towards a Viewsonic, but I haven't made up my mind, can I get some help. Thx

I wouldn't get an Optiquest, you can get much better for that price. If you really want a Viewsonic, I would check out the A95F, I think its close to your price. Or you could pick up a refurbished Iiyama i90A, which is a GREAT monitor.

Oops, the A95F is an NEC. Sorry

Look at KDS for a cheap quality monitor.

    By Schmitty May 21, 2001, 10:42 AM

Why not the Optiquest, I was looking at it with about 6 other monitors at a convention and the color looked much better. They didn't have the real expenisive monitors there. It wasn't a computer show.

I'm kind of looking around the gateway shop at the moment when I ran onto the $20 and $40 off and free shipping. I'm almost leanning on a PF790 now, but ouch that's going to hurt the wallet for a while, and will probably take away from me buying a new video card 3 months from now. I have a TNT2, but a 1Ghz T-bird. I'm not complaining, right now I'm not gaming much, but when I was a month ago it was only CS.

I'm going to have to think this over. HELP is appreciated!

Opps, the $40 coupon ran out on May 13th that sucks, I don't think I'll get the PF790 now.

You could also check www.ubid.com, but I'm not sure how they are on reliability, etc.
