What's the best tweak utility for Nvidia cards running Det. Drivers?
    By Spenser23 May 30, 2001, 11:09 AM

That's all. I have never "tweaked" any of my cards before. But it looks like my GeForce2 GTS Pro might need it.

    Hi you can use a program called {Rivatuner2}
which is very good for all kinds of tweaks for Geforce cards you can Download it from www.tweakfiles.com under video ok .or if you want to just overclock you can get the program called coolbits it`s a regitry hack it puts overclocking slide bars in your video card properties .or NVtweak which is a regitry file thats supposed to give you the best performance/picture quality .you can get these all from tweakfiles check them out .....................

NVMax is the best. You can pick it up here. http://www.nvmax.com/start/load.nsf/data.shtml

PowerStrip. It's $30, but it covers a lot of
    territory (color, clocking, various other
parameters) that I don't think are totally covered by the others.

To quote Dennis Miller, though, '.....I could
    be wrong....'

Your right powerstrip does alot more than others .
But not more than nvmax and nvmax is free!!!!!
    Try it you`ll see www.nvmax.com

    NVMax kicks arse!

    By Ashley May 31, 2001, 12:08 AM

Both RivaTuner and NVmax give you a lot of control over NVidia's driver.

PowerStrip is for when the drivers don't work to begin with and you need direct control over NVidia's hardware, or if you have multiple cards installed.

Of the two driver tweakers, RivaTuner has the most control, but NVmax has a real slick design...

Sounds like NVMax is what I need. Thanks for the help guys. My main problem is that the graphics are so dark in some programs. Areas that are supposed to be hard to see are completely black. I need to crank up the gamma or something. I have it maxed out in the game and it doesn't help.

You're right about the 'free'. No bout adoubt it....but the $30 is quickly forgotten
    about, especially w/unlimited free upgrades....MC

You'd better take a look on gtu also. It has the same options with NVMax but it has also an option called S3Bugfix which is supposed to fix graphical problems when using S3TC(like the crapped sky on Quake3).
