Okay maybe that didn't make since, but what I want to know what was the first time you really thought about computers, the first time you decided you were going to be a PC nerd...I'm not asking for your first computer, i'm asking the first time you got that little twinge in your heart that told you computers were insanely awesome... My first time was probably at my friends house before I ever had a PC, He had just gotten Windows 95 and I played some early games on it and It was amazing... Or It might have been a year after the Family got our first pc, and I just bought brand new Triple Play 99 and the graphics were amazing (for that time at least)

I must of been 10 or 11 when I bought red alert and played it like constantly. That was my first twang. Then when I upgraded the computer a few months after that with a new hd and some ram. Finnally though the real clalling came when I built my first rig a p2 333mhz computer.

Another big twang for me comes every few months when a new product comes out that makes my heart fail...I know Mac Expo for some reason gave me a heart attack... The nForce gave me a heart attack... And Come the release of the Radeon's I may get another heart attack

When I first started tried programming on my old VIC20. I think that was about 1985 or 1986.

I never really had a "twang." For me, the computer has just been a regular part of my life, it's just there - I pretty much take computers for granted. However, the more I fool around with my rig, the more I'm fascinated and excited by the subject.

Had to be at high school in the mid 80's when I went to a computer show (across the road from school) and had a go at the very first flight simulator. I was hooked (and became a full on pest at the show). That lasted a few years until I got a drivers license. Then it was cars for about 5 years (sorry, no pc has yet to really simulate the feeling of a V8 screaming at full throttle). I lived where the original Mad Max was filmed so I had some of the best "hooning" roads at my disposal. Interest in computers resurfaced a few years back (6 or 7) when work gave me a laptop with a modem!!! BBS boards, internet, more power, more games, etc. etc. So here I am, a pc junkie!Cheers,
