All I know is all Audigy cards are the exact same and they all have a IEE1394 (Firewire) port and no gameport If there is an IEE1394 to gameport adapter i don't know

What I thought was there is a connector that connects to the card via ribbon cable and runs it out to another slot on the rear of the cpu that had the gameport...

There isn't a "ribbon" plug. I would recomend that you hunt around for some reviews. BTW, I think you mean the PC, not the CPU.

don't know where you guys are getting your info...I'm looking at my Audigy right now and I have a Game/MIDI port. On the back of the card there is ONLY the Firewire port and speaker/mic plugs. BUT the Audigy retail(don't know about OEM) come with a ribbon that plugs onto the PCI card and runs to an extra PCI slot on the back of your computer... on the end of the ribbon is a GAME / MIDI port. So in answer and to clear it.. YES the audigy has a Firewire AND a Game/MIDI port.. Big Black

Hehe yes, not the cpu. How do I explain this...here's a quote from 3dSoundSurge: "What's new is you will no longer find a MIDI/Gameport on the bracket. This had to go to make room for the SB1394 connection. If you still want to use the MIDI/Gameport you will be able to use the supplied midi/gameport bracket" What I want to know is if the oem version comes with the midi/gameport bracket

understood...nobody seems to be really sure but you might send an email to: tech@googlegear.com They usu. get back to you in a day or 2 and have always answered my questions.. and they sell an Audigy OEM for $68.00 hope this helps

Thanks, I think I'll leave them a message. I knew that the retail came with the ribbon connect, but I needed to know if the oem did. Don't feel like spending some money for software I won't use

Yes, you get an extra gameport, but it will use a slot at the back of your pc. Just a slot,not pci slot. I have audigy oem too

the SB1394 is a firewire port..you can use it to hook up other devices: CD Burners, Harddrives, etc.. or use it to network computers at a much faster data rate than Ethernet... big black

I just bought the Audigy OEM from newegg.com a few days ago for $63...it *did* come with a gameport. I wasn't even expecting it either, always great to get a free surprise with my new sound card! I have a USB joystick so I was like "eh.."

Yes, like i said before, you DO get a game port. Lol, 69 is a real good offer. I live in the UK and i had to buy my oem audigy for 80pounds, equals 120 dollars. LOL. what can i say?
