I tried them out on my 64MB MX400 and 3DM2K1 went up 200 points... I haven't tried any other benches though. Plus I'll have to give them a try on the PRO card also.

    By LouIII October 31, 2001, 11:53 AM

I can't get through to the maxreboot site. I tried nVidia's site, but they don't have them listed on their download page yet. Why would other sites have the 22.50 available for download, when there's no mention of them on the nVidia site?

These drivers are leaked drivers. The only drivers that nvidia lists on their sites are WHQL certified ones, not leaked ones. I'm dling the 22.50's right now, 35%, damn slow 56k

By Monster Stealth October 31, 2001, 04:50 PM

Does anyone know if these drivers fixed the problem in Win XP Pro.When it took like 2-3 Minutes for the computer too shut down?

    By akbar October 31, 2001, 06:15 PM

wow, these drivers rule, another reason to go the nvidia route . i scored 2908 with default settings on all components..specs are

    1.4 athlon 266FSB (Tbird)
    ECS K7S5A 256MB CAS2.5 DDR RAM
    MSI GF2MX400 PRO 32MB SDRAM

what do u guys think abt my score?

    By datboiwilly October 31, 2001, 07:42 PM

Joly crap, I was getting the low 3900's before and now I just got 4450 flat with NO ocing. I couldn't even hit that before WITH ocing, I'm gonna run it one more time oced...

edit: my 5.5ns card oced to 255/458 got me a score of 4829, probably could've got more if I did a fresh reboot. I broke 4800!! woohoo, these new drivers kick ass.

    By therocksays October 31, 2001, 08:10 PM

these drivers are awesome for 3Dmark 2001. my score rose from 3505 to 3782 (note: my card is a gts/pro with 6ns ram). heres the link http://gamershq.madonion.com/compare2k1.shtml?1889693

all other games played/benchmarked the same as with the 21.83's

    By lostlilchild6 October 31, 2001, 08:31 PM

    By kpxgq October 31, 2001, 11:45 PM

Yes they sure as hell fixed it. My 'puter turns off in about 2 seconds now! Wohoo...before was like 20-40 seconds....

Plus I went from 3500 to 3900 in 3DMark..don't have real world numbers though...I'm sure it's good from the impression theve drivers have left

that's a video card problem?? i thought that when it shuts down it creates one of those uhh, system recovery points or some crap.

    By LouIII November 01, 2001, 09:16 AM

From 2287 with the 21.83 to 2481 with the 22.50. Thanks for the tip.

AMMENDMENT: I don't think these drivers are finished yet. After I installed them, a lot of the background scenery in Giants wasn't rendered properly. I reinstalled them (went by the numbers both times), but I got the same thing. I reinstalled 21.83, and everything was fine again.

I'll post a new thread just to be sure everybody gets the heads up.

We hear a lot about 1-2 fps better/worse, but not often about actual image quality - so could you elaborate? Is 2D better as well? Also what drivers were you using before?

Good point. I didn't notice any difference in 2D or 3D image quality. As I said above, I had some rendering problems in Giants. I started another thread about it, and others replied that it was probably the game. Be that as it may, I'll wait until nVidia officially releases them. Hopefully I'll have a new video card and/or monitor by then so that it can be a double or triple wammy
