Try comparing Asteroids to a one-night stand if you like. If you went to a club and had a fling with a woman (or man depending on your gender or preference), which at the time seemed like a good idea only to wake up in the morning thinking that you'd rather have picked up a Kebab with extra Humus instead. Asteroids is like that, on the surface it seems like a good idea but after spending some time with it you really start to figure out just how unsophisticated the whole affair is. Yes it's true that good classics die hard but there's also the argument that some classics should be left to rest in peace. If you really miss the 1970s and are the type of gamer that doesn't like/need to be totally immersed for long periods of time, then Asteroids might well suit your needs. Otherwise go to your nearest Video Rental dive and rent 'Saturday Night Fever'… And if you're still hungry for the 70s after that then there's little hope for you.
