  • SharkyExtreme: Has IO worked on any games prior to Hitman?

Jens Peter Kurup: Hitman is the first game IO is doing together as a team, but here are a few familiar titles some of the guys here at IO have worked on before this:
D.I.Y. Comics, Sword of Sodan, OsWald, Super OsWald, Luffe (kid’s videogame), Subterrania (Awarded "Best Shooter 1994"), Red Zone (Awarded "Best Flying/Driving Actiongame 1995"), Batman Forever, The X-Men, Scorcher, Cover Girl, Strip Poker, Lolly Pop, Angel, Banshee, Amok (Sega Saturn/PC).

SharkyExtreme: Can you tell us a bit about the plot of Hitman?

Jens Peter Kurup: Oh. I would love to...but I must keep the highly original story secret or they will send the Hitman after me!
What I can tell you is that at the heart of Hitman, it is a story about a person evolving. You (the player) will have to drive the story and the character forward by playing through several subplots which all hint and explain the core plot of the game.
It's no longer a secret that Hitman is a result of an experiment. And it's no longer a secret that somebody has been tampering with his genes. But how and why they have been tampered with, and how this will affect the game’s story and also Hitman as a character… you’ll have to play the game to find out! Don't worry. There are no zombies in Hitman. :)
For TV and Movie fans, imagine a game where the plot combines the "Professional" script and a really cool "Outer Limits" episode…
