With Incoming's visually biased legacy still in the air, it might be somewhat hard to believe that Expendable's biggest attraction (other than blood) is indeed its hands-on playability. Being moulded upon age-old classics such as Ikari Warriors and Commando means that the old style of running around with a character in the third person has been brought back to life. Taking top-down and fast-paced arcade action style of gameplay is no bad thing. Player grunts will be able to jump and/or climb over objects for strategic and/or combat advantages. A certain degree of interaction with in-game objects has also been promised, although I'd expect something along the lines of, "if it 'ain't broke then bloody well brake it". In addition and in true arcade tradition the game will allow for single or co-operative play on the same screen but the real multiplayer shenanigans should take place in the promised LAN deathmatch scenarios. And with over nine levels Rage has promised some 50 hours of diverse gameplay
