Messiah is a game of opposite extremes. The idea is extremely cool, but the controls, character polygon warping and bugs are extremely annoying and let the game down. Between these two polar opposites sits the quality sounds, the different if pretty undeveloped story and the well designed and interesting locations. One thing's for sure though. Messiah does not live up to the mass of hype generated over its long development period despite the odd saving grace, which is definitely something we at Sharky Extreme frown upon. In the light of all we've said in this review Messiah is one of the harder games we've had to score recently seeing as it's so hard deciding the extent to which the good balances out the bad. If you're a tolerant and persistent kind of person looking for something a little different, Messiah will be right up your street, especially if you enjoyed previous Shiny titles. On the other hand the bugs and control issues will be too much for a lot of people so if patience isn't your forte you're best off giving Messiah a miss.
