While that figure is a little bit of an overkill for Zombie, Ranger Team Bravo does allow for 6 players to connect either via a LAN or a TCP/IP connection. Each player still retains the 2nd Ranger buddy making a grand possible total of 12 Rangers on the field at once. Players can join an existing server or host their own game, with hosts being able to set the time limit, number of enemies, number of lives, level and mode of play, be it deathmatch, cooperative or team vs. team. Ranger Team Bravo offers multiplay over any of the original 15 single player level, the 9 new single player levels or the 7 deathmatch levels. When designing the add-on, Zombie must have anticipated a large number of players on the field at once, as each deathmatch level is a little too large for a one on one match. More often than not, 2 players will end up searching for each other rather than actually fighting.

Not content with just releasing a multiplayer add-on pack, Zombie Studios tweaked the 3D engine as well. Just like the Rangers Lead the Way, Ranger Team Bravo utilizes the Viper, a weak albeit sufficient engine. The add-on sports crisper textures, enhanced lighting effects and a functional weather system. Ranger and enemy skins look cleaner and better defined; the tiger stripe camo's never looked so good. Muzzle flashes not only have a new look to them, their lighting seems a touch more realistic. This effect is especially noticeable with the low light lens. Weather includes snow, lightning, thunder and driving rain. The snowing effect seemed a little suspect graphically, however all the other weather visuals were solid.

Ranger Team Bravo also features a host of new ambient sounds. Each level has its own distinct set of sound effects. In Bosnia, F16's enforcing the no-fly zone and offering ground support can be heard screaming across the sky. In Vietnam, thunder roars through the jungle, broken up only by the sound of the occasional UH-1 chopper's thumping rotors.

As stated earlier, Zombie didn't just release a multiplayer add-on in Ranger Team Bravo. In addition to the much needed multiplayer and slight graphical and audio enhancements, RTB also comes with 3 new scenarios, each with an additional 3 missions for a total of 9 new single player levels. Just like Rangers Lead the Way, each mission has a set of criteria that must be met before the player can move on. If these criteria are not met, or if both Rangers die, then the mission starts over. Since all the levels within a scenario correspond with each other, new missions can't be attempted until the previous one has been successfully completed.
