Intel Comments
The two slowest P4 processors tracked in our guide, which come in at 1.4GHz and 1.5GHz,
saw the biggest price drops in this week's Intel chart, with each falling by $15. But
despite the release of the a new flagship processor, the 2.4GHz Northwood P4 we reviewed
yesterday, the highest-end P4 processors either held steady or went up a bit in price.
General Comments
The biggest news in this week's guide, of course, is the addition of the 2.4GHz Intel
P4 to our charts. Beyond that, we see some modest price-drops on AMD's highest-end Athlon
XP processors and mostly small changes, either up or down, on the most of the other
processors tracked.
