Intel Comments
Both OEMs and retailers are almost finished moving to Northwood -- supplies of the 0.18-micron, 256K-L2-cache Willamette Pentium 4s may be drying up, but the 2.0GHz and 2.2GHz, 512K-cached Northwoods dropped $13 apiece and the 2.4GHz chip fell almost $60 in only its second week on the charts.
General Comments
It looks like Intel's 2.4GHz Pentium 4 flagship is well launched, with retail 2.0GHz Pentium 4s becoming relative bargains -- but as usual, Intel shows no signs whatever of trying to match AMD's killer prices for speedy Athlon XPs.
