There really are not as many significant price changes as may seem immediately apparent in this week's Intel CPU price chart. The biggest drop and the biggest increase were both, more or less, corrections of unexpected price changes in last week's chart... and left those processors back where they were priced two weeks ago. But prices are nonetheless holding fairly steady, and a few are dropping by a few dollars.
We continue to see the same trend of prices holding steady, as in the past two weeks' CPU price guides. But as we said last week, new processor offerings from both camps should soon spur on the price war that has been played out so many other times, at around this time of the year.
