The only big drop we see in this week's Intel price chart seems to be something of a leftover from last week's cuts on Intel processor prices. The 2.53GHz OEM processor had held steady last week, when other prices were falling. Now this week shows a whopping $106 drop on that processor, bringing the OEM version of Intel's flagship processor down to $534. But the retail 2.4GHz/533MHz P4 seems to be the best buy on the charts, costing only slightly more than its 400MHz bus 2.4GHz counterpart and offering most of the retail 2.53GHz/533MHz P4's performance for $228 less.
Needless to say, you're not going to see the same kinds of price decreases in this week's guide as we saw in the last (with the exception of one seeming leftover drop). But given how deep the Intel price cuts were last week, it's nice to see even small drops this time around.
How about Intel and AMD prices on the same page? Here you have it, starting with high-end CPUs.
