Intel Comments
The Intel price changes seem as modest as those found on the AMD chart right up until you reach the fastest of the Pentium 4 processors. The $86 drop on the price of the Pentium 4-2.53GHz/533, however, is anything but modest. And with decrease as impressive on some other high-end Intel processors, this week's guide should please anyone looking to build or upgrade a high-end P4 system.
General Comments
This week's price drops on the high-end Intel CPUs may leave some buyers unable to resist the temptation to go ahead and upgrade or build. But the rumor-mill is hinting that bigger things, and larger cuts, will be coming in the next month or two, those who are doing okay with their present systems might be inclined to hold off a while longer to see how this all pans out.
