Weekly CPU Prices - Week of September 16, 2002 - Page 2

We see some pretty nice price drops on a few of the highest-end Pentium 4 processors in this week's guide. The OEM version of Intel's flagship processor, the Pentium 4-2.8GHz, fell by $22, for example, with its Retail counterpart dropping $19 in price. The next biggest drop came in on the OEM Pentium 4-2.2GHz, which fell by $11. But other than these, most Intel Pentium 4 prices held more steady this week.

General Comments

CPU prices are still holding mostly steady, with the only real movement in this week's guide coming in on a couple of Intel's high-end Pentium 4's. But we remain hopefully that the next few weeks will be more exciting, both in terms of pricing and hot, new product releases.
