We see only slightly more movement in the Intel chart than we found among the AMD processor prices. The biggest drop was $19 on the price of the OEM Pentium 4-2.8 GHz, followed by an $11 drop on the price of the retail Pentium 4-2.2GHz P4. But by and large, most Intel prices held steady this week.
Are prices going to drop later this month, as has been rumored? And are prices, in general, going to drop a bit with the Christmas shopping season about to get underway? We sure hope so... because the pricing tracked in this guide are getting more and more stagnant by the week. But hopefully some more movement (preferably downward) is around the next corner... or around the one after that.
