The prices on the Intel chart seem to be just as soundly asleep as the AMD prices are this week. We see few changes in price, with more going up than down... so Intel buyers will be as bored by this guide as AMD fans are. The best buys are still in the Pentium 4-2.26 to 2.4A GHz range, with the 2.53 GHz model looking like a great buy for the more high-end buyer.
Maybe with winter weather setting in and October drawing to a close, the AMD and Intel prices are hibernating for the winter... it sure seems so, with so few prices going down and a few even bulking themselves up. But hopefully this is just a temporary phase and the charts will wake back up again soon. The ETA for the Athlon XP 2600+ (October 31st) is rapidly approaching and maybe this release will help spice up the CPU price listings on both the AMD and Intel side of things.
