Once again, there is one surprising, exciting, and mind-boggling drop in this week's Intel CPU price chart: a $40 cut to the price of the OEM Pentium 4-2.6 GHz. The only other significant decrease was of $11 on the price of the OEM Pentium 4-2.4 GHz/533... with the rest of chart about as slow and steady as what we see in the AMD charts.
Unless you specifically had your heart set on the one 2.6 GHz processor that had a big price drop in this week's guide, chances are this is going to be another uneventful week in CPU price tracking. There just isn't much going on, it seems, to spur prices back into action... but we're hoping that that's eventually going to change.
