Outside of the Pentium 4 XEON 2.6 and 2.8 GHz area, we see no significant price drops in this week's Intel chart, leaving us in yet another cold winter week for CPU pricing. We see a few small drops of up to $7, but they are offset by similarly small price increases. Even the high-end Pentium 4-2.8 GHz wasn't affected that much, and most of the price activity occured at the mid-range of the P4 market.
It seems the CPU price guide won't be spreading much holiday cheer, with prices now holding steady for a few weeks in a row. Both the AMD and Intel charts have been rather unexciting of late, with price drops being few, small, and far-between.
