Intel Comments
The Intel charts, unfortunately, don't show the same kinds of drops that we find on AMD processors in this week's guide. But if past history is any indicator, it shouldn't be long until Intel fires back with its own product introduction and accompanying price cuts. On the good side, at least we're not seeing any real price increases, as we did in past weeks.
General Comments
After weeks of stagnant prices, we are finally seeing some movement in this week's guide... in the AMD charts, at least. These are significant cuts, especially to the Athlon XP 2400+ and 2700+. As the next few weeks pass, we're hopeful that we'll see more to be excited about, both in terms of product introductions/availability and in the form of lower prices.
