The only noticeable Intel CPU price drops we see in this week's chart came in on the OEM and retail versions of the Pentium 4-2.8 GHz, which fell by $10 and $7, respectively. Beyond that, it's been a pretty much dead week for Intel prices, especially with entry-level Celeron and mid-range Pentium 4 models.
This is one of those weeks where there just isn't much to get excited about anywhere in the guide. With the largest price drop in the guide amounting to only $10, and most prices either holding steady or fluctuating by only a few dollars up or down, it's unlikely that anything you see in this week's guide is going to do much to influence your decision of whether or not now is a good time to buy. Overall value is still high, but there was virtually no benefit in sticking out the last seven days.
