We see only one drop on a consumer processor in this week's Intel chart, but it's a pretty nice one. The Pentium 4-3.06 GHz OEM received a $36 price cut and its retail counterpart dropped $21. Both should be welcome news to anyone looking to build an Intel powerhouse system. Unfortunately, there were also a few price increases to report at the mid and upper-range, and the entry-level Intel CPUs are still holding steady.
While prices decreased on average, we see only a few noticeable price drops scattered here and there throughout this week's CPU price guide. So while those who were looking to specifically purchase one of the handful of processors that saw significant drops will be pleased, most readers will find this to be yet another slow week for tracking CPU prices.
