Throughout most of this week's Intel charts, it seems like prices are completely stagnant. But then you get to their current (but not for long) flagship processor, the Pentium 4-3.06GHz, and... wow! Will we see the price on this processor drop more than the $110 it falls this week? Perhaps... and hopefully it will be joined by price drops on other processors. With the 800MHz Pentium 4-3.0C coming soon - and AMD's cut to their Athlon XP 3000+ - this was bound to happen.
With only a week since the serious price cuts to the AMD charts, it's no surprise that while the Athlon XP and MP lines have continued to drop, overall prices have leveled out somewhat. But with new product coming right around the corner from Intel (and how long can a similar intro from AMD be when that happens?), hopefully we'll be seeing lower prices in the coming weeks.
