Weekly CPU Prices - Week of April 28, 2003 - Page 2

If you thought that the Intel chart would contain more excitement than we get from this week's AMD prices, think again. Intel Pentium 4 prices are holding steady, with very few changes of more than a few dollars, though recent Celeron prices have been dropping nicely. But to echo the earlier sentiment, hopefully things will be changing soon.

General Comments

While this week's CPU Guide doesn't have much to offer potential shoppers, we're hoping that history will repeat itself and that May will once again be a month when one or both camps announce new price-slashing sessions. That will depend on whether or not new product releases make it into the marketplace. With some very significant price drops not too far behind us, it might be asking a bit much. Then again, there's no harm in hoping.
