With one exception, the only news in this week's Intel chart is the arrival of 2.4GHz Celeron to the guide, along with the returns of a couple of Pentium 4 processors that had fallen off the guide for a few weeks. That aforementioned exception is the OEM version of the Pentium 4-2.8GHz, which fell by a whopping $52 from last week's mark, bringing it to a new price of $263.
CPU prices, for the most part, are as slow as we've seen in the while. With the exception of one big drop in the Intel charts, we don't see much in this guide that is going to make anyone run out and buy a processor. Let's hope this week's frozen prices aren't the beginning of any long-term trend, and that both AMD and Intel speed up the release schedule on upcoming processors.
