The Intel chart, unfortunately, is far less exciting than the AMD one, with the only notable price movement being upwards. But despite this week's stagnation, Pentium 4 pricing remains competitive with the Athlon XP, and leaves only performance and personal preference, rather than overall cost, as reasons to go with one over the other.
The pricing waters are fairly calm this week, with only minor price changes peppered throughout the CPU guide. Those looking to buy high-end AMD processors may find a bit to get excited about; but little in this guide is going to make anyone forgo paying for rent and food in favor of getting in on the latest, greatest deal on Intel or AMD processors.
