Once again, there's little to get excited about in the Intel chart, with the only notable price change being a $10 drop on the OEM version of the recently added Pentium 4-2.6C GHz. Joining that 800MHz FSB group of Pentium 4's, however, is 2.4C GHz, which debuts at $174 for the OEM version of the processor, and $180 for its retail counterpart. So if nothing else, at least we have something new to report in this week's Intel chart.
We continue to see little movement in the weekly CPU guide, with prices on both Intel and AMD processors holding pretty steady. Given the recent price cuts and the fact that new product announcements have similarly slackened off, this is to be expected. But hopefully the coming weeks/months will bring new product announcements and, consequently, additional price drops.
