Weekly CPU Prices - Week of August 11, 2003 - Page 2

With the biggest drop being $7 on the price of the Pentium 4-2.6GHz, and no other prices moving down by more than $3, this week's Intel Pentium 4 chart manages to do the improbable and match the AMD charts for pure excitement. Even the Celeron list is dead this week, making it a double-hit for consumers interested in a new Intel system.

General Comments

We're getting used to it by now, and for yet another successive week, there is little of note to report any of the CPU price charts, with nearly all prices holding steady and none dropping by more than a few dollars. Maybe all the summer heat waves have the prices too tired to move, but we're crossing our fingers that price cuts will start heating up soon.
