Intel Comments
Unfortunately, the Intel chart is no more exciting than the AMD listings, with most prices holding steady for yet another week. Overall prices are stable, but there is a bit of downward pressure on the low-end of the Pentium 4 spectrum, which is something we haven't seen in a while. The other bit of news is that the retail version of the Pentium 4-3.2GHz is finally in stock with some known vendors, and so it has made its debut in the CPU guide.
General Comments
As the last weeks of the summer pass, it's becoming more and more disheartening to see CPU prices failing to drop. And while we remain hopeful that the coming weeks will bring some more excitement to the charts, there is still the chance that not much is going to happen in time for back-to-school purchases.
