Intel Comments
As in the AMD chart, Intel prices are holding steady again this week, with very few prices dropping at all, and none registering at more than a few dollars. And once again the best deals on the Intel chart are on the Pentium 4-3.0GHz/800 and 2.8GHz/800 models, which offer nearly as much performance as the 3.2GHz flagship for a lot less money.
General Comments
With AMD expected to release Athlon 64 in the very near future and the Intel Prescott coming in the next month or so, we're hoping that we'll soon be seeing some cuts in the price guides. But for now, we're stuck with more of the same stagnant prices that have unfortunately become the norm in our weekly CPU guide.
