Weekly CPU Prices - Week of October 13, 2003 - Page 2

Most of the prices in this week's Intel chart are holding steady again this week. We do have one nice drop; a $20 cut to the price of Intel's flagship Pentium 4-3.2GHz. But do yourself a favor and hold off on making your purchase, if you can. Whenever big price drops are expected in the coming weeks, vendors start dropping their prices a little at a time. So buying now, especially at the high-end, may have you kicking yourself later.

General Comments

We're starting to see a few scattered prices drops, here and there, as vendors lower their prices in anticipation of the impending price drops that are expected at the end of the month. But if you've waited this long, you can wait a bit longer and see just how low prices will go before laying down any of your hard earned-money on a new processor.
