Intel processor prices remain pretty much frozen, with none falling by more than a few dollars since last week's guide. But overall prices are still pretty good, nonetheless, thanks to the heavy cuts of a few weeks back. And while some might want to go with Intel's flagship offering (the $394 Pentium 4-3.2GHz/800), its almost-as-fast Pentium 4-3.0GHz/800 brethren checks in at $266, and looks to be the better bargain.
Once again, CPU prices have stabilized to the point of making this guide somewhat less than exciting, and with the Intel Prescott no longer expected until the beginning of next year, it's hard to tell when things will start heating up again. But hopefully, we'll see processors continue to inch, if not plummet, down in price.
