To anyone looking to the Intel chart to provide the excitement missing in the AMD section of this guide: "abandon all hope ye who enter here." Intel prices are as stagnant as AMD prices, with few drops of more than a dollar or two to be found in the guide. Strangely, these affected the low and mid-range sectors, while the Pentium 4-3.2 GHz registered no change, and the Pentium 4-3.0 GHz actually rose this week.
It's gotten so cold, it seems, that the prices in this guide have been frozen in place. With little movement in the past few weeks, those looking to make holiday purchases may have to just bite the bullet and accept prices as they currently are. But the most recent drops weren't quite so long ago, so it could really be a lot worse for potential CPU buyers.
