Intel Comments
This week's Intel CPU prices are even more stagnant than the AMD prices are, with most Pentium 4 and Celeron models holding steady and none dropping by more than $5. But with little in the way of new products coming down the pipe, it's hard to expect the pricing scenario to change drastically, at least in the short term.
General Comments
Apparently the handful of high-end CPU price drops we saw last week was less a new trend, and more of a fluke. But with new technology always coming around the next corner, it should only be a matter of time before Intel and AMD competition heats up and prices start to cool down.
