Well, we kind of have one significant price drop in this week's Intel chart, but while a $30 drop on most Intel processors might seem pretty exciting, it's not likely to make many of you rush for your wallets when it still results in a $915 price tag on the OEM version of the Pentium 4-3.2 GHz Extreme Edition. Beyond this drop, and a smaller $10 cut to its EE Retail sibling, there's not much else to report here.
The frigid temperatures in the Northeastern US seem to have once again frozen our charts in place, with few prices dropping in our guide. The only noticeable movement in the entire CPU price guide, in fact, came in on processors that have prices so prohibitively high that it would take a dozen more such drops to put them into most people's budgets. Only time can tell if things are going to change any time soon.
