Intel Comments
This week's Intel prices are mostly holding steady, with just a few modest prices to be found on a few of the higher-end Pentium 4 models. We do get a bit of news in the form of the guide's very first Prescott entry: the Pentium 4-3.0E GHz, which debuts at a price of $235.
General Comments
The much-anticipated AMD price drops, have so far been something of a let-down and the latest Intel Prescott-based offerings have yet to make much of a splash, so it's a less-than thrilling week for our guide, though not an entirely stagnant one. We see a few nice cuts at the high-end, but those looking for huge drops to push them into taking the plunge may keep testing the waters for a while longer.
