Intel Comments
The Intel chart doesn't rank any higher on the excitement scale than the AMD side, with most prices holding steady. Once again, the biggest drop, one of $16, comes in on the incredibly expensive Pentium 4-3.2GHz Extreme Edition. But it falling from $945 to $929 isn't going to make too many people rush online to buy one.
General Comments
Well, those hoping for more excitement in this week's CPU Price Guide than we found last week are going to be sorely disappointed. What we really need to see are new product introductions from both camps to help drive prices down on their existing processors. There are some rumors of upcoming releases for March, but until then, we're probably going to keep seeing more of the same.
