As if to follow in line with what we saw in the AMD charts, our biggest Intel price drop is only a whopping $3, with most of the other processors remaining unchanged from last week's price. In a substitution of sorts, the only "news" (if you can call it that) is the disappearance of the retail Pentium 4-3.0EGHz Prescott, which is offset by the debut of its OEM sibling.

General Comments

With the CPU show season just about to start, we're hoping that new product introductions from both camps will help drive prices down. But for the time being, neither the Intel nor AMD sections of this guide are showing any real movement, and certainly nothing that will compel hedge-sitting buyers to rush out and nab a new processor.
