Intel Comments
Most of the Intel prices remain as stagnant as ever, with very few changes. But the one spot where we see a couple of drops is on both the OEM and retail versions of the Pentium 4-3.0E GHz Prescott processors. These fell by $13 and $16, respectively, and presumably because their recently-released Pentium 4-3.2E GHz siblings are gradually becoming available.
General Comments
There are a few gems to be found in this week's guide, but most of the bigger price drops do little more than correct recent price increases. The increased availability of recently-announced/released processors may help lower processor pricing a bit, but new releases and new initiatives by one or both camps is what's needed to really heat things up.
