Intel Comments
Once again, the Intel section of the guide has a few welcome surprises, including a $24 drop on the price of the Pentium 4-3.2GHz Extreme Edition and a $22 price cut hitting the Pentium 4-2.66GHz Xeon. And over on the lower end, an $11 drop on the price of the 2.53GHz P4 is nothing to scoff at, given that it ends up being a noticeable percentage of its new $137 price tag.
General Comments
While most of the processors in this week's guide experience little to no downward movement, we do see a few nice drops here and there. So those who are determined to build new systems sooner, rather than later, may well be find something to be happy about. But others will find the guide is mostly filled with more of the same old, same old.
