The Intel processor chart is also quite stable, and an $18 drop on the price of the OEM version of the Pentium 4-3.4C GHz is the only decrease worth noting in this section of the guide. Other than that, and some small cuts to the Pentium 4-2.6 to 2.8 GHz range, most of the Intel prices are holding steady once again.
The recent trickling of new products into the marketplace has yet to translate into tangible price drops, largely because these CPU releases have all been more evolutionary than revolutionary. While introductions like the 925/915 chipsets, LGA775 processors, and PCI Express are all good and well, it's going to take renewed competition for the performance crown to really get things moving.
