Unfortunately, none of the excitement we see on the AMD side can be found in this week's Intel price charts. Pentium 4 prices are remarkably stable, with no price change hitting double-figures. The only news, in fact, comes in the form of a few new entrants to the guide, the Celeron 325, 330, and 335, which debut at $88, $97, and $127, respectively.
After several guides that contained few price drops of any kind and even fewer that would do much to get anyone excited, we finally see some really nice price cuts throughout the AMD charts, and it looks like Socket 754 is becoming even more affordable. And if history is any guide, price drops from one camp don't go unanswered for very long; so we'll remain hopeful that Intel will respond with cuts of their own in the very near future.
