Most of the prices in the Intel charts are every bit as stagnant as what we see in the AMD sections of the guide, but there are a few pockets of resistance. The main exceptions are the OEM and retail versions of the Pentium 4-2.4GHz/800, which fell by $28 and $16, respectively. It is a bit surprising that Intel hasn't followed the AMD lead of a few weeks back, and lowered prices to match current Athlon 64 levels.
This week's CPU Pricing Guide is every bit as uneventful as the last edition, with few processors dropping by much (if at all), and a couple even moving upwards in price. Hopefully, though, the two camps will start competing for back-to-school buyers by lowering prices in the near future.
