Weekly CPU Prices - Week of January 10, 2005 - Page 2

As in the AMD section of the guide, we have a couple of pretty significant price increases in this week's Intel charts, including a $10 hike in the price of the Pentium 4-3.4EGHz Prescott and a whopping $24 increase in the price of the Pentium 4-3GHz Northwood. But just as we saw with the AMD processor listings, the overwhelming majority of Intel CPU prices are right where they were in last week's guide.

General Comments

There isn't much to get excited about in this week's CPU Price Guide, with few processors changing at all and the most significant price movement resulting in increases, and not decreases. Overall, it's been another slow week for CPU prices, and without some new product releases from AMD and Intel, we expect these trends to continue.
