Intel Comments
We see a couple of noticeable price drops in this week's Intel section of the guide, though only one (a $16 drop in the price of the retail Pentium 4-3.4GHz Prescott) represented any real savings. The other, a $15 drop in the price of the Pentium 4-3.46GHz Extreme Edition, is hard to get too excited about, given its hefty $1070 price tag.
General Comments
A few scattered surprises keep this week's CPU price guide from being completely devoid of excitement, and we are glad to report a few significant price drops. And while most prices are holding steady, we'll take whatever cuts we can get, given that lower prices have been quite rare lately.
