We see only one large drop in the Intel charts, which echoes what we saw in last week's guide. The $90 cut in the price of the 3.2GHz Pentium 4 XEON is certainly good news, but beyond this drop, and a couple of more modest ones, there really isn't a lot of price activity. This guide does herald the return of a few Pentium 4 models, and this revamped section of the chart should also help keep things fresh.
Things have settled down considerably in this week's CPU price lists, following a week where we'd seen very significant drops across both of the major sections of the guide. But there are still some gems to be found, both in terms of new cuts and fallout from last week's damage, especially for those looking for bargains on high-end CPU's.
