Unfortunately, this week's Intel processor list contains no more to get excited about than the AMD charts do, and overall it's been an extremely sedate week all around. The biggest drops were a paltry $3 each on the Pentium 4-3.2EGHz and the 3.0GHz Pentium 4 530J, but these were superceded by larger price increases to the Pentium 4 570J and 630. Most of the remaining Intel prices are right where they've been since last week's guide.
This week's AMD and Intel CPU price lists are about as stable as we've seen in quite some time. With the biggest drop in either major section being only $7 and most prices not dropping at all, there just isn't much for prospective CPU buyers to get excited about. But even in the face of some isolated price increases, we remain hopeful that this is just the calm before a storm of price drops.
